Lovely, sweet strawberries with orange peel and hints of spices, such as nutmeg. It’s medium-bodied with fine, polished and well integrated tannins, creating a nice frame for the wine. It’s very drinkable already, but will be better after 2023.
 
Aux Chaignots is a Premier Cru vineyard in the northern part of the Nuits-Saint-Georges commune of Burgundy. The vineyard, on the midslope of the Cote d'Or, is planted to Pinot Noir and makes a structured, elegant wine with earthy overtones. Les Damodes, Aux Vignerondes and Aux Bousselots Premier Crus among its neighbors.
