Pale ruby in colour. A lightly stemmy, red-cherry, lavender, spice and just-pressed-olive-oil nose. Fully ripe with restrained and balanced alcohol, elevated, driven acidity and soft, silty tannin. The finish continues to develop. Lovely.
The lineage of these plants can be traced back to Paul Masson, who brought Pinot Noir cuttings from Burgundy to California in the late 1800s.
